  1. I have just now heard that the gprs charges for prepaid has been changed to 5 paise per 10kb is this true?, becoz i have dialed that number 24365 and the voice itself told me this

I am from west, and may I please know how much time it takes to activate GPRS, That sms to 53733 is of no use, I contacted bsnl they say wait for more 4 days, what about your activation on your mobile

    plzzzzzzzzzzz reply soon

  2. I was a post paid customer and the details in the blog were those of the month of March in South India. Maybe they have changed the tariff as you heard it from the BSNL's service. Only post paid customers had the option for unlimited GPRS for Rs 199. For me it took only about 24 hours to get my GPRS activated. But then, BSNL services are known to be erratic and nobody will be surprised to learn that it took you 4 days of waiting. Infact, it took me a whole month of trying to get my Friends and family call plan activated as every time I tried, it said the server was busy and advised me to try later.

  3. and one more thing do you think bsnl post paid services are better then prepaid as far as gprs is concerned
do u think a common man earing Rs. 4500 per month will be able to avail postpaid bsnl services or he will find problems with the bill

    ReplyDelete
  4. I don't think prepaid or postpaid connection has to do anything with one's income. Phones and connections are cheap and the bill depends on usage. One needs discipline while using postpaid to avoid a huge bill at the end of the month. Unlimited GPRS was available only with postpaid connection and was the only reason to choose post paid connection. Prepaid connection will save you from an accidental heavy usage and from a consequent huge bill.

  7. @abhinaba - Probably you did not enter the settings correctly. You need to specify the accesspoint, username and passwords manually before trying to connect with the PC suite. Please see the heading - PC configuration (With Nokia PC Suite) above. Also I hope you are using the genuine (original) Nokia connectivity cable to connect it to the laptop. Fake or duplicate cheaper connectivity cables won't work properly.

  9. Hi all BSNL GPRS users out there, i wanna tell u that BSNL has secertly changed there access point thats why all of u may have facing problem to connect. I myself find their new ACCESS POINT by trying very hard. The new ACCESS POINT IS:- "bsnlnet" by using this access point u can surf by mobile using any third parti software or by ur laptop or PC. For using with PC SUIT u have to enter ACCESS POINT manually.

    STEPS :-
    1. go to manual settings.
    2. select ur modem.
    3. select "configure my connection manually".
    4. enter ACCESS POINT:"bsnlnet" leave others blank.
    5. Save these setting & close the "Connect to internet wizard"
    6. Start this wizard again from the main console it will auto connect in 10 seconds.
I must say "THESE SETTINGS WORKS FINE FOR THE NORTH ZONE OTHERS ZONERS CAN TRY TOO"
    ENJOY...!!!

IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEM IN CONNECTIVITY MAIL ME AT "jatin166@gmail.com"

  11. @Ashish - I guess you have not activated default in all applications.
In a Nokia set - go to Settings - Configuration - Activate default to all applications.
Check if the default configuration setting is set first.

Transcendental Meditation

As an advocate of modern medicine, I’ve always been skeptic about the efficacy of practices like yoga and meditation and have never bothered to delve much into those areas. But I was always curious about techniques that will improve our ability to perform in our day to day lives and help us to realize our full potential. That is how I became interested in “Transcendental Meditation” as advocated by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and learnt some basics of TM. My Acharya (teacher) was Mr. Sasidharan of Maharishi Ved Vigyan Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram. The TM basically consists of 7 steps as was advised to me by my Acharya. 1) Sit comfortably 2) Close your eyes 3) Wait for about 30 seconds 4) Meditation proper 5) Stop meditation 6) Wait for 2 minutes or more with eyes closed 7) Open your eyes slowly Meditation proper: Repeatedly chant the sacred mantra (in my opinion, it can be as simple as “Aum” or Om) inside your mind in a progressively decreasing tone and amplitude. The mantra should be chan...
